watercolour painting
I have been painting in watercolours since 2004 , initially recommencing my painting in a classroom enviroment and then branching out to paint privately in a Community Hall that I hire for myself. More recently I have been painting more from home.
Having completed a range of paintings, a number of which now have been sold and have`new homes`, I have gradually moved away from the traditional view of soft watercolour to more detailed nature-themed paintings. Birdlife is becoming my preference.
I normally paint `A3` size, and currently use 425gsm NOT watercolour paper and Cotman brushes. The subjects might be varied but each painting is not meant to be an accurate reflection of the actual subject, more a style that comes out from the progression of the painting itself.
Inside the scrollable gallery is an overview of some of the various paintings I have completed during the last few years, some from my group class days but mainly from now working independently. (Please note that the prices shown are `as-is`, and do not include any cost of packing, delivery, insurance, etc, nor any additional cost for the customisation of frames)
I hope you enjoy the variety of paintings shown here.
